(April 23; Napa, Calif.)—Bouchaine Vineyards is excited to welcome visitors back to its stunning 104-acre estate in the Carneros AVA of Napa Valley. “With the renewed sense of energy in Napa, we felt it was time to safely open the doors again,” says General Manager and Winemaker Chris Kajani. “We’ve created two unique experiences for our guests. One option is serene, while the other is truly exhilarating.”
Bouchaine Bring-Your-Own-Picnic
Solitude, relaxation and great wine await guests as they are welcomed to the new Bouchaine Picnic Program. Socially distanced picnic tables are scattered throughout the flower-filled garden where guests are encouraged to bring their picnics from home or any restaurant of their choice. Upon arrival, visitors will receive a wine bag which will include a wine key, water, two logo crystal wine tumblers and a bottle each of Bouchaine’s Estate Pinot Noir and Estate Chardonnay, for $150 per couple. Additional guests will be charged $25. Reservations last two hours, and dogs and children are welcome (visitors must be 21 or older to enjoy the wine). Picnic Program guests will also receive a 30% discount on purchases of a 12-bottle case of wine. To book a picnic package click here or call the winery at (707)252-9065.
Falconry at Bouchaine
Be enraptured by raptors and experience a wine tasting unlike any other when you visit Bouchaine’s falconry demonstrations. “Falconry helps us maintain our commitment to sustainable farming, but it’s also just an amazing thing to witness,“ says Kajani.
Master Falconer Kate Marden of West Coast Falconry is onsite for demonstrations for small groups on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 9:30 a.m. and is also available for private events. The experience is $75 and includes a glass of wine to enjoy while watching Kate’s raptors in action. To book a falconry experience click here or call the winery at (707)252-9065.
About Bouchaine
Bouchaine was founded in 1981 by Gerret and Tatiana Copeland and is today one of the leading producers of sustainably farmed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the Carneros AVA. The estate is comprised of 104 contiguous acres, including a state-of-the art winery and a new world-class hospitality center and culinary kitchen. The vineyards at Bouchaine are greatly influenced by the adjacent San Pablo Bay, where cool breezes and the daily influx of fog allow cool climate varieties to shine. The location’s substantial diurnal temperature shifts also help develop beautiful acidity in the fruit, resulting in wines with vivid energy and texture. Noted as the first “Fish Friendly Farming” certified vineyard in Napa Valley, the winery is also Napa Green land and winery certified.
