Kind of Wild Wines Launches the First Globally Sourced, Organic and Vegan Certified Wine Brand Delivered Direct to Your Door

HEALDSBURG, Calif. (April 2021)  Hot off the heels of a fully funded crowdfunding campaign and launching this April, Kind of Wild Wines arrives as the first globally sourced, organic and vegan certified direct-to-consumer wine brand in the USA.  It’s the brainchild of Adam and Jordan Sager who run Winesellers, LTD  – a leading importer and marketer of fine wines.

“We are our customers. We lead mindful and healthy lifestyles and want to make sustainable purchasing decisions. For far too long, it’s been hard to find high-quality, organic wine offerings. We felt the in-store options were limited too, so we decided to solve the problem ourselves!” shares Adam.

According to the brothers, Kind of Wild was created to offer US customers a crafted collection of organic and vegan wine discoveries delivered directly to your doorstep while supporting winemakers from across the globe that work in harmony with nature.

“For the past 40 years, we have been supplying the country’s top restaurants and wine shops with the world’s best and fully certified organic and vegan wines. We’ve put in the work by solidifying long-term relationships with the world’s finest organic growers and adopting a minimal impact approach to ensure our customers can enjoy unbelievable wines that also happen to be better for the environment. It’s a win-win,” adds Adam.

The dynamic duo explains that Kind of Wild takes its name from the concept of rewilding our planet and returning it to its most natural form. Their dedication to sustainable farming has deep roots in the brand, with Kind of Wild committing to donate at least 1% of its revenue to environmental partner foundations such as Kiss The Ground + Organic Farming Research Foundation.

To help kickstart Kind of Wild, Adam and Jordan set up a crowdfunding campaign and hit their goal within two weeks. Fresh from that success, the brand will officially launch via their website on April 22 – Earth Day.

All Kind of Wild Wines are made with organically grown grapes certified by CCOF and vegan certified by BeVeg (produced without animal products for fining), setting the stage to become the first globally sourced, certified organic, and certified vegan wine brand. They are low in sulfur, and growers are encouraged to incorporate regenerative farming practices in their organic vineyards to benefit soil health.

“We learned that healthy soils, void of chemical residues and abundant in microorganisms, can be a climate solution by regenerating legacy carbon. This positive message for environmental resilience really resonates with us, and provides an action plan for sustainable winemaking to have greater impact,” explains Jordan.

The initial collection is a portfolio of 6 organic wines from 6 different countries  – one Rosé, two Whites, and three Reds. The wines are sourced and crafted from six premium wine-growing appellations in France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Argentina, and Chile. Kind of Wild plans to introduce customers to exciting new discoveries in due course. While à la carte bottle sales are welcome, wine lovers are encouraged to subscribe to Club Wild and enjoy multiple options delivered straight to their door monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly based on their likes and preferences.

No stone has been left unturned by the Kind of Wild team. Each label showcases its own unique, original illustration that explores the positive association of humanity and nature.

“The idea was to be as diverse in the artistic themes and content of each label illustration as the wines are in their unique origins, varietals, and sense of place,” Jordan conveys.

In addition, to reduce their environmental footprint, all Kind of Wild dry goods and materials were selected using sustainable and responsible, minimal-impact criteria.

“We are very conscious of our impact on the environment. For example, we chose lighter-weight, American-made glass bottles that greatly reduce the overall carbon footprint. We also use cork closures with no capsules covering the top of our bottles, and the labels on the bottles are produced from sugar cane, linen, and hemp. Our shipping packaging is ultra-sleek and minimalist, produced from SFI certified (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) corrugated, and is curbside recyclable. Even our POS materials are recyclable and printed with vegetable inks!” ends Jordan.

From the outset, starting a wine brand in mid-2020 was an ambitious task. Yet, Kind of Wild Wines faced the challenge head-on and used their learnings to disrupt the market instead. Through their global approach, they have proven that it’s entirely possible to make wine together while completely apart and deliver a new concept that is in line with a singular vision of being organically certified and better for the planet. All eyes up front, things are about to get kind of wild.
