TOR Napa Valley Appoints Richard Hall as Chief Operating Officer

Leading Family-Owned and Operated Luxury Napa Valley Winery Celebrating 20th Anniversary Names Industry Veteran to Key Role

(St. Helena, Calif.—March 2, 2021) – TOR Napa Valley, founded in 2001 by Napa icon Tor Kenward and his wife Susan, today announces the appointment of Richard Hall as Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Hall will oversee all non-winemaking aspects of TOR’s business, including operations, finance, marketing and DTC and wholesale sales.

Most recently, Hall served as Chief Financial Officer for Lede Family Wines, a role he held for nearly 14 years. In that position, he oversaw all financial activities for Lede Family Wines businesses, including Cliff Lede Vineyards, FEL, Poetry Inn and the Savoy Vineyard. Hall has also held the following positions: Director of Finance for Leslie Rudd Investment Company, Director of Finance for Synarc, Inc. and Director of Finance for Managed Health Network. Hall was elected to the Yountville Town Council in 2010 and 2014 and was appointed as Vice Mayor of Yountville in 2015.

“Rich has a clear focus of what it takes to put quality in the bottle,” said Tor Kenward.  “Over the last two decades he has built a reputation as a strong go-to community and business leader. He’s the perfect fit to helm TOR as our new COO.”

TOR Napa Valley is celebrating its 20th anniversary of making world-class Napa Valley wines.

Founded in 2001, TOR Napa Valley is a lifelong dream realized by proprietor Tor Kenward, who previously spent 25 years at Beringer Vineyards where he was Vice President. In 2021, TOR Napa Valley celebrates 20 years of the pursuit of greatness: small lot, single-vineyard wines from the best vineyard blocks in Napa Valley, including prized blocks within the famed To Kalon and Vine Hill Ranch. TOR also produces three blends, Black Magic, Pure Magic Beckstoffer To Kalon and Pure Magic Vine Hill Ranch, which collected seven 100-point scores for the 2018 vintage.
