New Vintage and New Winemaker for This Jewel in B&G’s Crown
February 22, 2021 – Miami, FL – Barton & Guestier releases the newest vintage of their Côtes de Provence rosé wine, Tourmaline, to the U.S. market. Made by Véronique Florentin, newly appointed head of winemaking of Provençal wines for Barton & Guestier, the 2020 Tourmaline is a true-to-type Provence wine showcasing the authenticity of the appellation and its world-renowned style.

Véronique Florentin, new head of the group’s proprietary cellars in Vidauban located close to St Tropez, explains more about the 2020 vintage: “Thanks to healthy rainfall during autumn and winter, the vines remained very healthy throughout the growing season with abundant and active foliage. After a beautiful flowering, the grapes (Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah) evolved to reach a maturity which was evidence of a very satisfactory balance between all elements. In the finished wine, we see that the light pink color has kept its purple reflection. On the nose, aromas of apricots are followed by floral notes of lily as well as citrus fruit notes. A dry and balanced wine, the palate is smooth and delicious, ending with a refreshing sensation. Wine lovers seeking a true Côtes de Provence rosé will not be disappointed!”
