Words of Sommeliers Celebrates Connection With Key Members of Trade

February 17, 2021 – Miami, FL – Barton & Guestier, the renowned French wine company established in 1725, continues its dynamic evolution by introducing an exciting new project 2021 – Words of Sommeliers. With almost three centuries of experience in the wine business, Barton & Guestier continues to build on its DNA, combining character, knowledge and the ‘art of living’ in new and exciting ways for American wine consumers and trade.

Words of Sommeliers is one of the most ambitious projects of its kind, a collaboration with 31 global sommeliers coming together to review all of the AOC wines in the B&G portfolio. This global group of top sommeliers includes 3 Best Sommeliers of the World, 5 Master Sommeliers and many participants in the last ASI Best sommelier of the World competition. “This is another testimony of B&G’s close relationship with the trade” explains Philippe Marion, Deputy General Manager at Barton & Guestier. “For many years now, B&G has nurtured a very close relationship with this key element of the wine industry: the sommeliers. We have always had their support and we wanted, with this project, to thank them by bringing them to light”.

Carlos Varela, VP Sales & Marketing of Barton & Guestier USA adds: “The diversity of the contributors to Words of Sommeliers mirrors the eclectic character of Barton & Guestier’s portfolio and the versatility of the wines. It is powerful and convincing for both the trade and consumers to read these stories that the sommeliers are telling with Barton & Guestier wines around the world. They explain in their own words how we make prestigious appellation wines approachable for all wine lovers.”

With 300 years of history, B&G is a reference point for great French wine and looks to continue to innovate in 2021. New wines coming to the U.S market this year will include a Cotes de Provence Rosé, Bistro Sauvignon Blanc, sparkling wines, and No Alcohol options.
