Bogle Family Vineyards Releases On-Premise Brand “Twenty Acres by Bogle”

Portion of sales proceeds to support Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation

February 16th – Clarksburg, Calif. – It all started by taking a chance on some farm fields in the California Delta in 1968. Today, Bogle Family Vineyards pays homage to its heritage in a new on-premise only release, TWENTY ACRES by Bogle.

“More than 50 years ago, our grandfather, Warren V. Bogle was looking for a new crop to plant. When his potatoes failed to take hold, a friend suggested winegrapes instead. The vineyards thrived and we are proud to carry on the winegrape growing tradition to this day,” said Jody Bogle.

Chenin Blanc and Petite Sirah were planted on 20 acres of land on the Bogle Home Ranch in Clarksburg. As the family realized the potential of the soil, the vineyards expanded and so did the Bogle’s commitment to making quality, handcrafted wines.

The TWENTY ACRES logo is inspired by a picture captured of Chris Bogle teaching his son, Warren W. Bogle, how to drive the tractor at the age of seven.

“As a multi-generational farming family, the value of hard work and respect for the land is something that is instilled in us from the first day we can grab hold of that tractor’s steering wheel,” said Warren Bogle. “We are proud to be able to honor our farming heritage by putting this rendition of our father and me on the label.”

Jody, Ryan and Warren are now the sixth-generation farmers and third-generation grape growers to run the family business, but are committed to ensuring the vineyards remain for another 50 years and beyond.

“We are dedicated to growing grapes and operating the winery with future generations in mind,” said Ryan Bogle. “In TWENTY ACRES by Bogle, 100% of the grapes used to make the wine is certified sustainable through the California Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing program.”

With the first vintage of this wine, the Bogle family will be donating a portion of sales to the Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation. A donation of $1 per case sold will go toward supporting restaurant employees and their families impacted by COVID-19.

TWENTY ACRES by BOGLE Highlights:

  • Sustainability: 100% of the fruit is certified sustainable, with each bottle carrying the Certified Green seal.
  • A Nod to Heritage: Each wine has a 10-15% blend of Bogle’s heritage varietals, the first 20 acres planted in 1968. Petite Sirah is blended into the Cabernet Sauvignon and Chenin Blanc into the Chardonnay.  
  • On-Premise Cues: A winemaker “tasting grid” on each back label provides at-a-glance wine understanding for restaurant servers.
  • Authenticity: The TWENTY ACRES logo is inspired by an actual picture of Chris Bogle teaching his son Warren W. Bogle how to drive the tractor.
