Los Olivos, California– Families everywhere have more on their plate than usual this Thanksgiving with the pandemic adding multiple challenges to traditional plans. Fortunately, Los Olivos Wine Merchant Café will be offering a Thanksgiving dinner for eight to ten people available for pickup on Wednesday, November 25. The ready-to-reheat meal consists of six dishes: Diestel turkey breast and two thighs, sourdough stuffing, mashed potatoes, locally-sourced fall vegetables, cranberry mostarada and homemade gravy for $120 (plus tax and tip). To pre-order by November 23, visit http://bit.ly/TDayDinner or call (805) 688-7265 extension 0.

Co-owner of the Los Olivos Wine Merchant Café, Sam Marmorstein, suggests pairing the Thanksgiving dinner with a white or red wine from their winery, Bernat Winery & Vineyards. “Our 2017 Bernat Grenache Blanc complements the Thanksgiving platter perfectly,” he says. “For those who prefer red wine, I recommend our 2012 Los Olivos Wine Merchant Red Blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is elegantly bold with a nice, smooth finish.” Marmorstein adds that the team at the Los Olivos Wine Merchant would be happy to help anyone find the perfect Thanksgiving wine from their award-winning selection of over 500 wines.

The prepared Thanksgiving dinner will replace the Café’s International Platter that week. The traditional Family Takeout platter will still be available and includes a choice of Mary’s Roasted Chicken or braised short ribs with rustic mashed potatoes, freshly harvested organic Café Farm salad and roasted seasonal vegetables. Available before and after Thanksgiving week, the International Platter satisfies travel cravings by featuring popular dishes from around the globe with a new cuisine featured every two weeks. Past International Platters featured dishes from Cuba, Korea, Turkey, Thailand and Greece. Each takeout platter serves four people and costs $50.00. For more information about the platters or the Los Olivos Wine Merchant Café visit www.winemerchantcafe.com. The Café will be closed on Thanksgiving so staff can spend time with their families.

About the Los Olivos Wine Merchant Café:

Los Olivos Wine Merchant Café opened their doors in 1995 with a focus on sustainability. In addition to sourcing food from their own CCOF certified organic farm, only 1 mile from the restaurant, the Café supports local farmers by creating seasonal menus to take advantage of the fresh produce grown locally. The Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Café boasts an impressive wine list in addition to wines sold by-the-bottle from their wine store on premise. Owners Sam and Shawnda Marmorstein, also sell wine from their family winery and vineyard, Bernat Wines. Currently the Café is open 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM daily for outdoor dining, take out, and local delivery. In addition to their regular menu, the Café is offering a family-style International Platter every week for pickup.
