On Thursday, October 1st from 2:00pm – 3:30pm PT / 5:00pm – 6:30pm ET, Sonoma-Valley based winery Hamel Family Wines is bringing together a panel of thought leaders from various professional backgrounds inside and outside of the wine industry to discuss better ways to reach younger wine consumers through marketing, hospitality and more. This is the first in a series of panel discussions during which participants will dig into what’s worked, what hasn’t, and actionable steps our industry can take to reach the next generation of wine consumers.

Presented by Hamel Family Wines and moderated by sommelier and digital wine luminary Amanda McCrossin, this first event will focus on reaching a younger demographic through marketing – what younger audiences find most valuable in the brands they are willing to support, marketing tactics to keep – as well as those to reconsider – when targeting younger consumers, most impactful platforms for communicating with this audience, and more. Accompanying Amanda will be the following five panelists, who all bring a wealth of marketing experience to this discussion:

  • Philippe Andre, Sommelier, Restaurateur and Charles Heidsieck US Ambassador
  • Kristen Reitzell, VP of Communications at Jackson Family Wines
  • Tom Herbst, CMO at Athleta (Formerly The North Face)
  • Vanessa Conlin, MW, Head of Wine at Wine Access
  • George Hamel, III, Managing Director of Hamel Family Wines
