Truth Be Told Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Launching This December with Destination Brands Sales Partnership
BENTON CITY, WA – September 10, 2020 – Goose Ridge Estate Vineyard & Winery in Washington’s Columbia Valley and Napa Valley’s Roots Run Deep Winery announced today a partnership to create a new Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Truth Be Told. The project combines Roots Run Deep’s long recognized expertise in developing high-quality value wines with the estate fruit from Goose Ridge’s Vineyard in Washington, bringing together the strengths of both companies for a Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon made with discerning value-driven Cabernet consumers in mind. Goose Ridge’s Destination Brands will work in tandem with Roots Run Deep to support the national retail launch.
“At Roots Run Deep, we are always looking to over deliver on quality. We’ve produced Cabernet in a number of regions in California and once we saw the quality of fruit on the Monson’s estate, we saw an opportunity to expand our portfolio.” explained Mark Albrecht, Roots Run Deep Owner and CEO. “What’s more, with Goose Ridge, we can leverage their regional expertise with our winemaking team to craft a Cabernet Sauvignon that holds nothing back, Truth Be Told” he concluded.
Truth Be Told Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon will launch with the 2018 vintage in January with a suggested retail price of $18. The wine is sourced from premier vineyard blocks from Goose Ridge’s 2,200 acres of estate vineyards. The collaborative winemaking process features Goose Ridge Winemakers Andrew Wilson and Peter Devison working with Roots Run Deep Winemaker Macario Montoya. The result is an outstanding Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that truly over delivers on quality.
