Launched in partnership with regional hotels, the Sonoma-based company aims to encourage people to take advantage of Napa Valley and Sonoma County midweek.

Glen Ellen, CA – WineCountry Media, the digital travel, lifestyle, and e-commerce network that includes WineCountry.com, NapaValley.com, Sonoma.com, CovetPass.com, and WineCountryShop.com, is thrilled to announce the launch of a new travel promotion – Work From Wine Country – designed to encourage midweek stays in Northern California Wine Country.

In response to the threat the ongoing pandemic and fires have on the tourism industry in Napa Valley and Sonoma County, WineCountry Media has launched this new marketing campaign to help remote workers transition their home offices to Wine Country. Having teamed up with regional hotels, Work From Wine Country offers midweek lodging packages for stays Sunday through Thursday, plus an array of perks and special amenities, such as early check-in, complimentary Wi-Fi, and free bottles of wine, that make working from Wine Country as seamless and appealing as possible.

“After witnessing the devastating effects both COVID-19 and the fires have had on the wine tourism industry, our team dedicated ourselves to tackling the problem in a way that’s impactful on multiple levels,” says Michael Cann, CEO of WineCountry Media. “With more and more people working remotely, Work From Wine Country is a way to not only get more people up to Wine Country – especially during the slower weekdays – but also give people an excuse to change up their normal routines and enjoy more work-life balance.”

To date, WineCountry Media has partnered with 10 Napa and Sonoma hotels and resorts to offer midweek promotional deals and perks, with more hotel packages being added weekly. “The response has been encouraging so far, and we truly hope that people who are able to work anywhere choose to take advantage of this opportunity to work from Wine Country,” shares Cann. “Why not enjoy a few days working with a view of the vineyards, spend your lunch break at a world-class restaurant, or opt for a change of scenery to get the creative juices flowing again? Working from Wine Country is a great way to enhance the work day, take advantage of all that Wine Country has to offer after hours, and show support for this beautiful wine region.”
