The Maryland Wineries Association expands its “Wine Explorer” branding with a hybrid wine celebration; wine packs available for pre-order through June 14.
(ANNAPOLIS, MD) – The Maryland Wineries Association is broadening the Maryland Wine Explorer brand, introducing “Stay Home & Wine Down.” This new retail and virtual wine experience aims to present curated wine and education to fans of local wine.
To showcase the diversity of Maryland wine, the Maryland Wineries Association is offering pre-order sales of seven wine packs. Each pack represents a unique style category and contains four, hand-picked local wines. Pickup of pre-ordered packs is scheduled for late-June at designated wineries throughout Maryland.
In the week following wine pickup, the Maryland Wineries Association will host virtual educational and tasting seminars that feature wine insiders, winemakers, and industry influencers. These talks will be broadcast live via social media channels and include discussion from participants tuning in. Each wine pack category will be included in its own session.
“The Maryland Wineries Association and our members are seeking unique ways to engage with local fans,” says Kevin Atticks, Executive Director of the Maryland Wineries Association. “In the wake of COVID-19, traditional wine festivals have been canceled or rescheduled and we want to bring our fans and wineries together to engage and explore.”
Pre-sales of Stay Home & Wine Down packs run through Sunday, June 14, 2020, and can be purchased via biermi.com/store/mwa. Wine pickup is scheduled June 23 through June 25 at locations that rotate throughout the state. Seminars will broadcast live from June 26 through July 2, 2020.
