Sebastopol, CA, June 4, 2020 – Visitors flocked to Sonoma County’s Dutton Estate Winery last weekend as the winery reopened after a two month closure.  Bay area visitors sat throughout the vineyard garden enjoying the new “Garden Picnic & Wine Tasting Experience”.  Dutton Estate Winery is now open daily by reservation.

For many visitors it was their first trip out of the house or first fun outing in the last few months.  Dutton Estate Winery hosted each visitor with a boxed springtime picnic and a flight of their estate wines.  When Sonoma County amended Phase Two of business reopenings at the end of May, the winery was able to utilize its landscaped garden, set within a 20-acre Chardonnay vineyard, to host the required outdoor dine-in meal for every visitor.

In the middle of an unprecedented time the winery is marking its 25th anniversary. Dutton Estate Winery selects special blocks and vineyards from the family’s 1200 acres at Dutton Ranch to craft several single vineyard wine selections.  The vineyards are found throughout the Green Valley of Russian River Valley AVA.

The “Garden Picnic & Wine Tasting Experience” features the Russian River Valley varieties of Chardonnay and Pinot, but unexpected selections are a Syrah and Fume Blanc.  The Syrah comes from Tracy Dutton’s fathers private single acre home vineyard.  The Fume Blanc is a first ever for the 25-year old winery, who used just six barrels to ferment and age this special white wine.  The wine selections paired perfectly with a delicious springtime boxed picnic meal.

Visitors are welcome at Dutton Estate Winery by reservation daily.  Reservations and information are available at duttonestate.com.
