Priority Wine Pass Launches Virtual Wine Tastings

Priority Wine Pass announces Virtual Wine Tastings with local Napa Valley wineries in response to Coronavirus closures and Napa’s “Shelter in place” orders

Napa, Calif., March 20, 2020 Priority Wine Pass, the largest west-coast wine tasting program, has partnered with local winemakers to launch Priority Wine Pass Virtual Wine Tastings. The new offering allows customers to purchase individual and curated wine selections at special prices for delivery, and schedule online video-tastings with the winemakers themselves. This is the company’s latest move in response to the current threat of COVID-19 and their effort to encourage support of local wineries, as well as boost morale for its customers. The new initiative comes amidst Governor Gavin Newsom’s March 15 order to close restaurants, bars, and wineries and after “Shelter in Place” orders have recessed much of the state’s wine industry.

Current participating wineries include Bridgette/Courtesan (Napa Valley), Boeschen Vineyards (St. Helena), and Prime Solum (Napa Valley) with plans to add more in the coming days. All of the current wineries are small-production and local to the Napa Valley. The virtual tastings include a “Learn How to Wine Taste” experience with local Napa level-3 Sommelier Victor Orozco. Priority Wine Pass is also inviting other west-coast wineries to participate in the new initiative.

Priority Wine Pass Founder and local Napa resident, Jamie Cegelski-Gaebe, is optimistic despite the tremendous impact the coronavirus and resulting closures have had on our local wine industry. “It’s a bad situation for everyone, but we’re all trying to stick together, stay positive, and find ways to adapt.” She continued, “We just hope customers can embrace our new offering and support the industry when it needs them most.”
