“Support Your Local Bartender”™ T-Shirt to Aid United States Bartenders Guild Foundation’s COVID-19 Relief Campaign

MODESTO, Calif., (March 19, 2020)—Given the devastating impact of COVID-19 on the hospitality industry, New Amsterdam Vodka, on behalf of E. & J. Gallo Winery, and Barstool Sports are working together to help raise funds for bartenders affected by closures across the United States.

For this cause, New Amsterdam created a new t-hirt using their Pink Whitney creative highlighting their “Support Your Local Bartender” ™ platform. The Pink Whitney t-shirt will be sold on Barstool Sports and is made to  specifically aid the United States Bartenders Guild Foundation’s (USBGF) COVID-19 Relief Campaign.

Britt West, Vice President and General Manager of Spirits for E. & J. Gallo Winery, says, “It was immediately clear to us that in conjunction with Barstool Sports and their enormous e-commerce platform and community reach, we could utilize the t-shirt idea to raise funds for the United States Bartenders Guild Foundation’s COVID-19 Relief Campaign.”

Starting today, March 19, Spittin Chiclets will announce on their podcast that consumers can order a “Support Your Local Bartender” ™ t-shirt on Barstool’s home page (https://store.barstoolsports.com/). The cost of the t-shirt is $28 + shipping and 100% of the net proceeds will go to the United States Bartenders Guild Foundation’s COVID-19 Relief Campaign, which benefits the Bartender Emergency Assistance Program. Additionally, New Amsterdam Vodka will donate $5 for every shirt purchased.

Barstool Sports’ CEO, Erika Nardini, adds, “The spirit of Barstool Sports is capturing the conversations that happen between friends in a bar. Those conversations don’t happen without bartenders. We wanted to give back to them and help them in a small way.”

“Like so many of us in the beverage alcohol industry, I started my career in hospitality. At this challenging time, New Amsterdam Vodka is 100% committed to helping those most in need throughout our communities,” adds West.
