The esteemed Central Coast winery expands its reach through its first distribution partnership in California
March 2, 2020 (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) — Tolosa, the renowned producer of Pinot Noir from the cool growing region of Edna Valley, is pleased to announce California distribution through its partnership with American Wine & Spirits, the fine wine division of Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.
Located in the heart of Edna Valley, just five miles from the Pacific Ocean, Tolosa is dedicated to handcrafting balanced and complex Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines which reflect the cool coastal climate. Vintner Robin Baggett spares no effort in producing wines to rival any in the world and in supporting Tolosa’s community, from philanthropic endeavors and environmental initiatives to community outreach and sustainably-grown wine production.
While Tolosa is currently distributed in 19 states, American Wine & Spirits is the first distribution partnership for Tolosa in the all-important market of California since its inception in 1998, having previously operated on a winery-direct sales model in the state. “Aligning with American Wine & Spirits is a huge milestone for Tolosa,” says June McIvor, General Manager of Tolosa. “We have worked hard to build a luxury brand of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and have gained a great following through our winery-direct model. Inclusion in American’s portfolio of fine wines is an affirmation of our accomplishments in that realm and is the next step in the advancement of our success.”
