Women for WineSense to Host Grand Event in Sonoma County

The May 14-16 Event Celebrates the Group’s 30th Anniversary

Soquel, Calif. (January 29, 2020) — Women For WineSense is hosting a three-day Grand Event May 14-16, 2020, offering members of its 10 nationwide chapters a chance to mingle and expand their wine knowledge through educational seminars, tastings, tours and more.

“This year’s event honors the group’s 30th anniversary,” said Tracy Lynne Parker, Grand Event Director. “Sonoma County is an appropriate site for the celebration this year since it’s where Women for WineSense got its start.”

A non-profit wine education and networking organization made by women, connecting everyone, Women for WineSense comprises nearly 700 members across the nation and is open to both wine industry professionals and aficionados.

“For the past 30 years, Women For WineSense has helped women interested in wine expand their knowledge and their networks,” says Women for WineSense President, Donna Schlosser-Long. “The Grand Event in Sonoma County will be a rare and exciting occasion for our members across the country to all come together in celebration of our shared love of wine and the ways it enhances everyday life.”

2020 Grand Event Details

Thursday, May 14
The weekend’s events kick off with an evening Welcome Reception and Grand Tasting at Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Geyserville, a wine country town in Northern Sonoma County.

Friday, May 15
A day of educational tasting seminars will be hosted at Vintners Resort, a Tuscan-inspired resort situated amongst vineyards on the outskirts of Santa Rosa. Participants can choose from among two main seminars and three breakout sessions; themes include the Best of Napa-Sonoma Women Winemakers, Wine and Wellness, and the History of the Wine Cocktail. A dinner and awards ceremony will be held that evening.

Saturday, May 16
Participants will embark on a day of wine country experiences held throughout Sonoma County and can optionally sign-up for a VIP wine experience. Participating wineries include Linked Vineyards, Loxton Cellars, Benovia Winery, and others. The festivities conclude that evening with a farewell soiree.

Pricing:
Now through February 29, members can purchase an early bird all-access pass for $459. Non-member and a la carte tickets are also available. Full registration for seminars and winery tours opens in early 2020.
