PremierPass Launches in the Santa Cruz Mountains

The new PremierPass offers access to six premium wine tasting experiences each year at the most prestigious wineries in the region

APTOS, CA (January 16, 2020) – The Santa Cruz Mountain Winegrowers Association (SCMWA), which represents more than 65 grape growers and wineries nestled between San Francisco, Monterey Bay and Silicon Valley, takes its popular wine-passport program to the next level with the PremierPass. The PremierPass includes up to six premium wine tasting experiences that go beyond the ordinary tasting flight. Passholders can expect access to wineries that are typically closed to the public, private tastings with winemakers, food and wine pairing flights and exclusive tours.

“For nearly 30 years, our wine passports have allowed people to discover Santa Cruz Mountains wines through traditional tasting flights,” comments SCMWA Executive Director Keikilani McKay. “The PremierPass is designed for those who want more than what is traditional; it is for wine connoisseurs and the wine curious who want to intimately get to know our wines, connect with our people and learn why wine from the Santa Cruz Mountains is so exceptional.”

A limited quantity of PremierPasses are available for purchase now at scmwa.com for $175. Each wine tasting experience included in the PremierPass retails at $50 and over, which brings the total value of the pass to $350 for the year.

Twenty of the region’s most prominent wineries are participating in the PremierPass program, including Ridge Vineyards, Mount Eden Vineyards, Thomas Fogarty Winery and Big Basin Vineyards.
