Alexana Winery looks to elevate hospitality program with new private tasting space

Newberg, Ore – Alexana Winery announces the construction of a 7,500 square foot addition to their tasting room. Projected to open in June 2020, this will be Alexana’s first-ever space dedicated exclusively to customizable private tastings and events. The addition will include a 2,400 sq. ft. indoor main level, a 2,800 sq. ft. outdoor covered deck, and a 2,300 sq. ft. indoor lower level for temperature-controlled wine storage.

“We look forward to elevating the level of our hospitality program by offering guests the opportunity to reserve one of our new private tasting spaces,” says General Manager Mark Bosko. “Not all of our customers are interested in the same experience and we will soon be able to offer everything from a casual walk-in tasting to a fully customizable tasting by appointment. A few months ago we launched the first of our new Seasonal Experiences and are excited to continue to build on the program early next year.“

During the Summer of 2019, Alexana began offering their Vineyard Safari seasonal experience to great success. During the 90-minute vineyard tour, guests are led in an 100% electric 6-passenger ATV across Alexana’s 80-acre estate property. Tasting stations located along the route allow guests a unique opportunity to taste a selection of site-specific wines made from the vines they are standing beside and soils they are standing on.

Anticipated in the Spring of 2020, Alexana plans to launch their new highly anticipated Winemaker For A Day experience. Guests will soon to be able to blend their own Alexana Pinot Noir adorned with their own personally designed label. A truly one-of-a-kind experience, Alexana expects to offer this experience seasonally each year.

“The response to the new seasonal concepts in our hospitality program has been overwhelming,” says Bosko. “Our team has always considered themselves ambassadors for the Willamette Valley, not just Alexana, and we hope to become a destination for wine consumers who are interested in having a deeper understanding of what makes the wines from our region so special.”
