Shadow Benovia’s Winemaker During Harvest

WHAT: If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work harvest, this is your chance! Benovia Winery welcomes guests to the Harvest Winemaker tour – an opportunity to shadow winemaker and co-owner Mike Sullivan during harvest. Benovia is a special, small production, family-owned winery in the heart of Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley that specializes in sustainably farmed, single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Guests will join the team at Benovia’s Martaella estate vineyard while the fruit is brought into the winery straight from the vineyard, the grapes are hand-selected on the sorting table, and then transported from the forklift into the fermentation tanks. The action in the winery will be followed by a barrel tasting – plus a tasting of current releases and lunch, so guests will follow Benovia’s sustainably-farmed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the vineyard, to the tank, to the barrel, to the bottle – and finally to the glass!

WHEN: September 12th, 13th, 20th and 21st from 9 a.m. – Noon

COST: $55 per person for Benovia club members and $125 per person for non-members
