Keggy Awards WinesellersNiles, IL – (July 26th, 2019), Free Flow Wines announced new winners at the 6th annual KEGGY Awards and Ten Year Anniversary Celebration recognizing 22 wineries, distributors and restaurant operators for their exceptional and sustainable contributions to the wine on tap category.

Winesellers, Ltd was honored with a KEGGY Award for saving more than 100,000 bottles from potentially ending up in a landfill, since kegging wine with Free Flow Wines. The brands imported by Winesellers and packaged in kegs at Free Flow are Santa Julia Reserva Malbec & Cabernet Sauvignon – Argentina, and Sea Pearl Sauvignon Blanc – New Zealand.

“We are firm believers in the wine on tap category, and its long-term potential for delivering a high quality and sustainable method of serving wine by the glass to our customers,” says Jordan Sager, Co President of Winesellers. “We have Free Flow to thank for developing their turnkey system and functional approach for their winery clients.”

Each keg holds the equivalent of 26 bottles (5.15 gallons) of wine, potentially saving 1,560 bottles from the landfill over its lifetime in use.
