PLACERVILLE, CA: The El Dorado Wine Grape Growers Association is pleased to announce Lynn Wunderlich, UCCE Sierra Foothill Viticulture Farm Advisor, as the guest speaker at the July 17, 2019 grape grower meeting held from 6:00-8:00pm at the Placerville Veteran’s Hall located at 130 Placerville Dr., Placerville. There is no charge to attend and membership is not required.

Meeting Topic: Maximizing Spray Efficiency for Vineyards

Lynn Wunderlich, Sierra Foothill UCCE Viticulture Farm Advisor, will be speaking to growers about Maximizing Spray Efficiency on July 17, at 6pm at the Placerville Veteran’s Hall in Placerville. There is no charge to attend but space is limited.

In many Sierra Foothill areas it’s been a challenging year in terms of mildew control. The ability to dial in spray application timing and sprayer calibrations is especially critical for proper application and efficient use of materials. Wunderlich will go over the key parts of the sprayer, what can be adjusted, the job of the fan, and nozzle sizes and types. Also, she’ll discuss calibration which is the basis for an effective application and weather related issues concerning the spray application.

Growers are encouraged to take a look at their spray program and equipment prior to the meeting and bring their questions. Photos and leaf/fruit samples are also encouraged.
