Ticket Sales Now Open to the General Public
HEALDSBURG, Calif. (Jul 3, 2019) – Alexander Valley Winegrowers is pleased to present Access Alexander Valley, a Grand Tasting of Alexander Valley wines held poolside at the award winning Francis Ford Coppola Winery on August 30, 2019 from 7-10pm. This one-day event brings together Alexander Valley wineries, local restaurants and food purveyors, and live music all taking place in the picturesque Alexander Valley. Tickets are now available and can be purchased on the Alexander Valley Winegrowers website.
Designed as a counterpart to Alexander Valley’s intimate scale Experience Alexander Valley, the new event is an introductory opportunity for guests to discover both the hard to find, micro-lot wineries, such as Sutro Wine, and taste sought-after icons, such as Jordan and Silver Oak, that make up the depth and diversity of Alexander Valley.
“We are thrilled to host the first ever Access Alexander Valley,” explains Rick Toyota, Senior Director of Hospitality Operations, The Family Coppola, and Alexander Valley Winegrowers Vice President. “The setting will reflect the character of our valley, in the family-style Francis Ford Coppola Winery, with wines being poured by proprietors, winemakers, and family members.”
The variety of local purveyors providing culinary fare includes Hog Island Oysters, Catelli’s, Noble Folk Ice Cream, Houtskool Dumplings, Rustic, Yay!Paella, and Kinsmoke BBQ. Headlining sponsor, CapaBunga, a local, family-owned wine accessory company, will provide all guests with cutting edge wine stoppers to take home.
Each participating winery will offer a special “access” promotion which may include 2 for 1 tasting passes, exclusive library wine tastings, or wine club pricing on bottles ordered that evening.
“Access Alexander Valley is an opportunity for guests to enjoy the best of what Alexander Valley has to offer all in one evening,” said Jake Hawkes, owner of Hawkes Wine, and Alexander Valley Winegrowers President. “All guests will walk away with greater knowledge of the area and a variety of access promotions, all while enjoying world-class wines, delicious cuisine, and breathtaking views. We’ve selected the date as a kick-off to Labor Day weekend and invite guests to spend an evening getting to know our winemakers and families, and enjoy this beautiful valley we call home.”
Tickets are $85 per person and include tasting at all participating wineries, a variety of food, and entertainment. Tickets are available at https://alexandervalley.org/access-alexander-valley/
