June 4, 2019 – This summer, Oregon wineries will have access to WineDirect’s newest fulfillment center for direct to consumer (DTC) shipping. The new facility in Sherwood, OR makes WineDirect the first and only provider of true end-to-end DTC services in Oregon, now with leading-edge fulfillment services to complement our existing ecommerce software offering.
After years of strong growth, many Oregon wineries are looking for ways to keep up with demand for customized wine club orders and overall shipping volume. Executing fulfillment in-house is time consuming and, to do it well, takes valuable resources away from traditional winery responsibilities. At the same time, the existing third-party solutions in Oregon fall short of the standards needed to meet the modern consumer’s expectations for fast shipping, timely communications and personalized unboxing experiences.
WineDirect addresses unmet needs, by providing fast, accurate shipping as well as personalized packaging and flexible wine club support – all seamlessly integrated with our industry-leading DTC sales software. This is complemented by technology such as a Tier 1 warehouse management system and real-time inventory tracking, enabling wineries to meet consumers’ increasingly high expectations for speed and accuracy set by e-commerce giants such as Amazon or Zappos.
Oregon is WineDirect’s fifth fulfillment center in the country, adding to existing facilities in Napa Valley, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara and Glenwillow, OH. This multi-center, bi-coastal model allows wineries to reach 90% of wine consumers within two days via ground shipping, a capability that is increasingly important as customers demand ever faster, yet cost-effective shipping.
