Landon McPherson’s Wine Membership Club is Reshaping VIP Experiences in Sonoma County

Santa Rosa, CA – Harvest Card, an elevated Wine Country membership program giving locals and tourists the insider experience at wineries across Sonoma County, has propelled CEO & Founder Landon McPherson to a spot on the North Bay Business Journal’s Annual ‘40 Under 40’ List.

Launched in 2017, McPherson’s rapidly growing business is becoming a top player in advising Wine Country locals and tourists where to go, where to eat, and where to stay. It now boasts over 1,100 active members and more than 45 wineries, restaurants, and hotels have joined on as official partners.

Member benefits including complimentary tastings and discounted bottles extend to well-known partners such as Rodney Strong, Wilson of Dry Creek, and Deloach Vineyards. However, most Harvest Card partners are boutique Sonoma County wineries producing less than 10,000 cases annually.

“I wanted to let people know about places that they might not know about that are ready to be discovered and need a voice,” McPherson said of the motivation behind Harvest Card when recently profiled by wine writer Peg Melnik in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

A millennial and lifelong Sonoma County resident, McPherson has been immersed in the local wine and hospitality scene since the age of 19. He not only has the inside line on some of wine country’s best kept secrets, he is also meticulous when it comes to personally selecting partners who can offer both unmatched savings and a special luxury VIP experience to his members.

To get a sense for the eclectic array of Harvest Card partners, consider McPherson’s top boutique wineries of the month:

Bowman Cellars (Graton) This winery opened in February 2018 and Harvest Card members will find a zen-like atmosphere with amazing snacks, and a private lounge so magical that “time can seem to disappear.”

DRNK (Sebastopol, appointment only) – Producing just 3,000 cases annually, DRNK offers members a one-of-a-kind “wine cave” tasting experience that is rare, if non-existent elsewhere in Sonoma County.

Wine Guerrilla (Forestville) Socialize amidst a hip, Los Angeles-esque vibe with vinyl records and custom artwork to enjoy while sipping one of their Zinfandels from the Russian River Valley.

As he joins the elite list of Bay Area entrepreneurs with his distinct honor, McPherson plans to continue bringing on new partners and offering unparalleled insider experiences to his growing network of wine lovers. Saying in a recent interview, “The people, the culture, the wine – it’s all about the experience – and at Harvest Card we’re always on the lookout for the next, best hidden treasure of wine country.”
