Family-Owned Napa Winery Introduces Exclusive High Elevation Morning Tastings for Summer 2019
(St. Helena, Calif.—March 21, 2019) – Barnett Vineyards, a family-owned Spring Mountain winery founded in 1983, today announced new “Elevated Experiences” tastings which will launch June 2019 and be held through October annually. Perched high up on the verdant slopes of St. Helena’s Spring Mountain, Barnett Vineyards is a family-owned gem off the beaten Napa Valley path. The winery is also in an enviable position during the summer months: they are located above the fog line which normally shrouds the Napa Valley floor in the morning. Now there’s no need to miss out on the sun; those who attend Barnett Vineyards’ truly “Elevated Experiences” 9am private tastings can drive 20 minutes and 2000 feet above valley floor to find sunshine. (Pro tip: grab coffee and a breakfast sandwich at the Model Bakery in St. Helena before driving up.)
Once you arrive at Barnett, you’ll begin your visit with a guided walk around the property and an overview of the winery’s history, farming practices and winemaking, ending up on Rattlesnake Hill, the original source of the winery’s flagship Cabernet Sauvignons. You’ll have a rare opportunity to taste a flight of four stellar vintages (the 2014, 2015, 2016, as well as a 2017 barrel sample) of the Rattlesnake Cabernet Sauvignons. Relax in cushy chairs and look down upon the shimmering Bay Area fog as it burns off in the valley, revealing Instagram-worthy views.
The fine print: Barnett Vineyards “Elevated Experiences” are available daily at 9am by prior appointment only and are priced at $125 per person. The 90-minute tour and tasting includes four vintages of the Rattlesnake Cabernet Sauvignon. To book an “Elevated Experience,” please call the winery at 707.963.7075.
ABOUT BARNETT VINEYARDS
Founded in 1983 by husband and wife proprietors Hal and Fiona Barnett, Barnett Vineyards produces estate-grown, hand-farmed wines as well as single vineyard bottlings under the expert guidance of Winemaker and General Manager David Tate. From pruning to picking, all Barnett Vineyards wines from its 40 acres are tended to by hand—due to the significant grade of the property’s terraced rows—which make for stunning views of the valley floor but restricts the use of modern machinery. In addition to the estate bottlings, Barnett Vineyards also sources fruit from some of Napa and Sonoma’s best vineyards, including the Sangiacomo Vineyard in Carneros and the Tina Marie Vineyard in the Russian River. The result is limited runs of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that capture the individual grower’s sought-after terroir interpreted by Barnett Vineyard’s inimitable winemaking style.
Barnett Vineyards invites guests to experience the draw-dropping views of their patio—even during the colder months—by booking semi-private by-appointment-only tastings. Guests will enjoy tastes of Barnett Vineyards 100% estate-grown wines, along with flights of the winery’s single vineyard partnerships, and will have the opportunity to marvel at the unparalleled view, which will leave just as deep an impression as the wines.
Semi-private tours and tastings are 90 minutes in duration and are available by appointment only for $75 per person. For more information, please contact the winery at 707.963.7075 or visit www.barnettvineyards.com.
