PLACERVILLE, CA – March 11, 2019: The El Dorado Wine Grape Growers Association has announced the meeting agenda for March 20, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Placerville Veterans Hall located at 130 Placerville Dr., Placerville. There is no charge to attend.

The El Dorado Wine Grape Growers Association  is pleased to announce the return of Gabriel Froymovich, owner of Vineyard Financial Associates in Healdsburg, CA. Froymovich recently wrote a widely-read analysis predicting a coming “Grapepocalypse.” According to this analysis, the industry is at the end of a long-term cycle in the market for coastal, premium wine grapes and prices are due to drop. He further contends that this will coincide with both a recession and a continued, tight market for vineyard labor, squeezing many growers.

On March 20, Froymovich will be presenting to the EDWGGA membership what this means for growers in the Sierra Foothills, how they can prepare and why he thinks the Grapepocalypse may not hit El Dorado growers as hard as others.

There is no charge for grape growers, members of grower or winery organizations or the media to attend. Space is limited. For more information go to edwgga@gmail.com or contact Karen at 707-853-3025.
