February 20, 2019 – Healdsburg, CA– Coyote Sonoma and The Elephant in the Room have announced plans to co-host a Healdsburg Mardi Gras celebration on Tuesday, March 5th beginning at 5PM. Past years have seen The Parish Café host a popular Mardi Gras event, but this year, The Parish is taking a break from the festivities and passed the Mardi Gras torch to Coyote Sonoma and Elephant in the Room. Jambalaya from The Parish will be available for purchase at Coyote Sonoma along with other themed food.
Festivities will begin at 5PM at Coyote Sonoma with The Big Fit band, an 8-piece Funk, Soul and R&B band playing from 5-8. At 8, the show will move over to The Elephant in the Room where Sakoyana, an eclectic Jazz-Funk band will play into the night.
This is the first official collaboration between The Elephant in the Room and Coyote Sonoma. Together, the two venues hope to make the Mill District of Healdsburg the premiere destination for live music in Sonoma County. Co-owner of Elephant in the Room, KC Mosso has a long reputation as a Sonoma County music promoter and has quickly established the Elephant in the Room as a destination for diverse entertainment. Coyote Sonoma, formerly occupied by Sonoma Cider, features a stage and large dance floor, and has been shaping up a live music calendar featuring popular local favorites such as Buck Thrifty, McKenna Faith and more.
