Serendipity Wines Makes Waves in the West Coast!

Serendipity Wines acquires the California Wholesale assets of Maritime Wine Trading Company, expanding its presence and customer service into the California wholesale market.

Austin, Texas – February 4, 2019 – Serendipity Wines has entered an agreement to acquire a majority and controlling stake of the California wholesale assets of Maritime Wine Trading Company, and to represent their brands in the state of California effective immediately. Maritime will continue to operate separately as a stand- alone national importer for wines like Graham Beck and Jules Taylor and continues to own Nine North Wine Co. based in Napa. The new company will retain the name, “Maritime Wine Trading Company” for its California wholesale division as well as the management team and its employees. Additionally, Elijah Pfister, who brings over 20 years of management experience, will continue to lead the wholesale business as the CEO.

Serendipity has grown tenfold in the last fifteen years and is thrilled with the opportunity to deliver the winery experience beyond Texas to the West Coast.

Customers should expect continuity without any interruption of service or supply during the transition and an improved level of service upon closing. The transaction significantly expands Maritime’s capabilities across California, as well as, significantly enhances the portfolio.
