Healdsburg, CA – Accolade Wines North America introduces Barossa Ink to the U.S. market. Produced by the team at Grant Burge in South Australia, the Barossa Ink Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon channel the opulent heart of Barossa wine country.

Sourced from grapes grown across the Barossa Valley, Australia’s premium Shiraz growing region, the Grant Burge winemaking team challenged themselves to come up with the most vibrant and impactful wines possible. The line will showcase the area’s hallmark Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, with an added twist. During the final stages of the winemaking process, concentrated Petit Verdot is added, boosting the tannins, color and depth in the wines.

“Growth for the Australian category is imminent, says Senior Brand Manager Stephanie Hahn of Accolade Wines North America, “and we are particularly proud to be able to offer wines with such deep flavor profiles, so indicative of bold Australian winemaking. As its name suggests, Barossa Ink has its roots deep in the soil of Barossa Valley.”

Barossa Ink Shiraz is a rich, full bodied wine that has a sensual palate offering plenty of texture, fine velvet tannins and soft, round dark fruit flavors. Similarly, the Barossa Ink Cabernet Sauvignon has fine tannins, and an excellent persistence with intense chocolate and berry flavors. The name of the line is a nod to the final color of these wines, which is so dark it’s like ink. And like ink, these wines will leave their mark on wine lovers.

The suggested retail price for both Barossa Ink Shiraz and Barossa Ink Cabernet Sauvignon is $15.99. The wines will be distributed through Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.
