Gretchen Boock, Vice President of Winemaking Operations

July 14, 2026 (Dayton, OR)Stoller Wine Group has appointed Gretchen Boock as vice president of winemaking operations, marking another milestone as the company continues expanding its portfolio, production capabilities, and national presence.

As Founding Winemaker, Melissa Burr continues to guide the winemaking philosophy of the Stoller Wine Group portfolio. Gretchen will lead the day-to-day production operations that bring that vision to life, aligning the vineyard with winemaking teams from harvest planning through bottling. Her primary role is to strengthen collaboration and communication across the wineries, ensuring the production organization continues to operate efficiently as the company grows.

“As my role has evolved, finding the right partner to lead our production teams has become incredibly important,” said Melissa Burr. ” Gretchen brings the experience and collaborative leadership our team deserves, and I’m excited to build what’s next together.”

With more than 26 years of experience, Gretchen has led vineyard management, winemaking, operations, and executive leadership teams. Most recently, as general manager of Benton-Lane Winery, she oversaw all aspects of the estate’s operations, including production, farming, grape sourcing, and business strategy. Previously, she served as chief executive officer of Dobbes Family Estate, following nearly 15 years of progressive leadership within the organization.

“I’m honored to join an organization that has earned such a strong reputation for its wines, its people, and its commitment to excellence,” said Gretchen. “I’m excited to work alongside this talented team as we continue building on that foundation.”

Gretchen joins Stoller Wine Group during a period of significant expansion. Over the past year, the company opened the Chehalem Estate Tasting Room and Stoller Wine Bar | Newberg and acquired the Elouan brand, doubling the size of the company. It also realigned its national distribution strategy, further strengthening its position as one of Oregon’s leading wine companies.

“Bill Stoller challenged us to build a company with a 200-year vision, which means every leadership decision matters,” said Gary Mortensen, president of Stoller Wine Group. “Gretchen is exactly the kind of leader who will help us carry that vision forward.”
