Sangiacomo Family Wines Marks 10th Anniversary, Inspired by Nearly a Century of Farming

June 9, 2026 (Sonoma County, CA) — The multigenerational Sangiacomo family, leaders in sustainable grape growing in Sonoma County, proudly mark the 10th anniversary of their boutique label, Sangiacomo Family Wines. Since launching in 2016, the winery has remained focused on crafting small lots of expressive Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines from Sonoma and Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa, sourcing fruit from the family’s 1,600 acres of certified sustainable vineyards. To celebrate the milestone, the Sangiacomo family will host a special anniversary celebration at their famed Catarina Gardens on June 28, 2026.

Sangiacomo Family

With roots tracing back to 1927, the third-generation Sonoma farmers have built a legacy grounded in the values of sustainability and stewardship. Since planting their first grapevines in 1969, the Sangiacomos have continued their farming heritage by growing premium grapes from their sustainable vineyards throughout Sonoma County and Napa Valley. Today, the family is widely regarded as one of California’s premier grapegrowing families, supplying fruit to more than 80 winery partners, including some of the state’s most respected and award-winning wineries. Many of those partnerships span multiple decades, such as Rombauer, La Crema, Benziger, Barnett, Chappellet, Macrostie, Saintsbury, Gloria Ferrer, and Schramsberg.

Inspired by their long-held passion for farming and winegrowing, the third-generation Sangiacomos — siblings Steve, Mike, and Mia — established Sangiacomo Family Wines to express the character of their vineyards directly with consumers through a grower’s lens. Working with winemaker James MacPhail, they make wines of extraordinary depth, emphasizing freshness, complexity, and a clear sense of place. These are Sonoma County and Napa Valley wines in every sense, guided by a family with nearly a century of farming in their blood. Today, Sangiacomo Family Wines produces approximately 4,000 cases annually with a focus on vineyard-designated wines that showcase the family’s distinctive estate sites. As the family approaches its 100th year of farming in 2027, Sangiacomo Family Wines continues to focus on sustainable farming, site-driven winemaking, and creating meaningful experiences that connect guests to the land.

“Every bottle of Sangiacomo Family Wines reflects our story — our farming story, our family story, and our wine story,” says Steve Sangiacomo. “A decade in, our vision to craft authentic, site-driven wines remains unchanged. It’s deeply meaningful to carry forward our nearly 100-year farming heritage in each bottle, and to share this milestone with those who have been a part of our journey, past and present.”

In celebration, the family is hosting a 10th anniversary party at Catarina Gardens, located within the family’s Catarina Vineyard in Sonoma — a private setting rarely open to the public. Held Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 12-3 p.m., the milestone event will feature a walk-around tasting of current and library-release wines, Italian-themed lunch inspired by the family’s roots, and opportunities to connect with members of the Sangiacomo family in the vineyard setting that inspires their wines. Tickets are $150 per person for General Admission and $100 for Club Famiglia Members. To learn more or purchase tickets, visit https://www.sangiacomowines.com/catarina-event/.
