The second retail location from the renowned wine importer in 53 years comes to Marin County
December 8, 2025 (Berkeley, CA) — Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, an importer, retailer, wholesaler, and distributor of fine wine from France and Italy, today announced that its second retail location in Marin Country Mart is opening on December 9, 2025. Located at 1003 Larkspur Landing Circle, the store will be open seven days a week, Sunday through Friday 10AM to 6PM, and Saturdays 9AM to 6PM.
The Marin Country Mart location is the second retail location from Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant since the original storefront opened 53 years ago in 1972. Similar to the Berkeley retail location, the shop will offer the local community an opportunity to access wines exclusively imported by Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant right in their own backyard.
“The Marin shop will have a very similar ethos to the Berkeley shop: a high-touch, friendly environment that helps our clients dive into the endless pleasures of French and Italian wine,” Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant President Dixon Brooke said. “We’re excited to get to know our Marin neighbors and to have a new place to connect with our North Bay clientele.”
Kermit Lynch’s original retail store is known for its extensive collection of a wide range of well-priced wines ($12 for a Tintero festive rosé) to collectible rare bottles ($1000 for a grand cru Romanée-Saint-Vivant), an approach that will be continued at the Marin Country Mart location. Customers can also explore their hand-selected imports through the Kermit Lynch wine clubs, which allow members to pick up their club packages at both the Marin and Berkeley retail shops or have them shipped directly to their door.
At 900 sq. feet, the Marin location will be smaller in size than the Berkeley shop, but designed to maximize customer browsing and discovery by BCV Architecture + Interiors. The interior, designed by Los Angeles-based Martha Mulholland Interior Design, marries the beautiful and the practical, showcasing materials sourced from the same regions where Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant’s grower partners reside and work. Visitors of the shop will be welcomed with reclaimed limestone floors and counters from the southern Rhône, all set against a warm and intimate space.
