Passionate wine lovers will experience 26 of the San Luis Obispo Coast AVA’s finest wineries as the annual “Harvest on the Coast” returns to Avila Beach.

October 18, 2022, San Luis Obispo, California – The SLO Coast Wine collective is thrilled to announce that “Harvest on the Coast” has returned after a few years off due to the pandemic. The event celebrates the latest harvest as well as past releases from the newly-formed San Luis Obispo Coast AVA.

“This has traditionally been our SLO Coast Wine’s biggest event of the year” says Kathleen Naughton, Executive Director of the group. “The winemakers are really excited that the event is back, and we’re very pleased by the enthusiasm we’re feeling from consumers from across the state.”

The festivities commence at 5 PM on Friday November 11th when over 15 different wineries will pour their latest releases at Sip & Savor by the Sea at the Central Coast Aquarium in Avila Beach. Bountiful passed appetizers and music by Moonshiner Collective’s Dan Curcio and Gary Wooten will accompany the wine! A highlight of the evening will be the guided tours of the aquarium, with exhibits dedicated to the amazing undersea realm we have on the Central California coast. The event will wrap up at 7 PM, leaving attendees ample opportunity to head to dinner at any of the fine restaurants in Avila Beach. This will be a marvelous way to kick off your weekend — tickets are priced at only $90 per person.

The scene shifts to the Avila Beach Golf Resort at 1 PM Saturday afternoon for the Grand Tasting, and the optional VIP Rare & Reserve Tasting. From 1-4 PM you’ll be treated to wine from 25 members of the SLO Coast Wine Collective, music by B & the Hive, and abundant food options to keep you energized throughout the afternoon. General Admission Grand Tasting tickets are $125 per person.

But for those seeking a truly exclusive experience, tickets are available to the VIP Rare and Reserve Tasting taking place in the Clubhouse. Mingle with winemakers and taste their finest reserve releases and limited, difficult-to-find bottlings from 18 different wineries.
