(July 26, 2022; Snohomish, WA) — Scott Lloyd, General Manager of Washington’s Quilceda Creek Winery, is pleased to unveil a fresh new look for the winery’s website, www.quilcedacreek.com. Based in Snohomish, Quilceda Creek is one of the most celebrated family-owned producers of Cabernet Sauvignon in the country and has been an integral part of winemaking history in Washington state. The new website reflects the winery’s continued commitment to excellence, featuring several dynamic components, including interactive maps and graphics that represent a significant investment by the winery to create a streamlined user experience for its dedicated group of mailing list members. Built and designed by Offset Partners, the website features drone footage and images from photographers Matt Morris and Jason Tinacci and copywriting by Mora Cronin.

“In designing the website, every component was chosen with meticulous intent,” says Lindsay Regan, VP of Brand Strategy at Offset Partners. “We wanted the website to spark curiosity and inspire viewers to dive further into the history of Quilceda Creek, and the true sense of place the Quilceda Creek wines embody.”

Upon opening the website, users are immediately transported to Quilceda Creek’s estate vineyards in the Columbia Valley’s Horse Heaven Hills and Red Mountain AVAs through sweeping drone footage. The “Vineyards” portion of the website is equipped with an animated, clickable SVG map which shows the driving route to the Columbia Valley to the winery’s three vineyards: Champoux, Galitzine and Mach One. The website features interactive statistics and vineyard facts, and a comprehensive timeline for users to visually explore the four decades of winemaking and history at Quilceda Creek.

“The website details unique conditions of our three estate vineyards, including the acclaimed Champoux Vineyard where we recently increased our majority ownership to 79%,” says President and Director of Winemaking Paul Golitzin. “We want visitors to the website to truly see and understand the way the climate of a vineyard like Champoux—which is characterized by its elevation, diurnal shifts and sandy loam soils—shapes our wines. From vine to glass, attention to the smallest facts and figures plays a vital role in the wines we create, and the new website reflects that.”

In the “Wines” section of the website, users can explore rotating bottle images of Quilceda Creek’s five wine offerings: Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (SRP $225), Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 8 (SRP $225), Palengat Cabernet Sauvignon Mach One Vineyard Clone 685 (SRP $225), Tchelistcheff Cabernet Sauvignon Mach One Vineyard Clone 412 and CVR (SRP $70), a declassified blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Those interested in learning more about both the history of Quilceda Creek, and the winery’s plans for the future, can take a deep dive through the interactive website at www.quilcedacreek.com.

About Quilceda Creek Winery

Quilceda Creek was established in 1978 by Alex and Jeannette Golitzin. The winery’s first vintage was in 1979, making Quilceda Creek the 12th oldest winery in Washington after prohibition. Alex Golitzin’s inspiration to start the winery was nurtured through many visits to the Napa Valley in his youth, where he spent time with his maternal uncle, André Tchelistcheff, the legendary Napa Valley winemaker known as the “Dean of American Winemaking.” Paul Golitzin joined his father as winemaker in 1992 and directs all aspects of vineyard management and winemaking. With a gifted palate and a no-compromise commitment to quality, Paul focused the winery’s attention on its greatest assets: the vineyards of the Columbia Valley. Quilceda Creek wines are an expression of three vineyards: Champoux, Galitzine, and Mach One. Paul’s vision catapulted the wines to a new level of excellence, resulting in some of the highest reviews and awards of any winery in the United States: seventeen 100-point scores from six different critics across Wine Advocate, Decanter and the International Wine Report. Additionally, Quilceda Creek was awarded three top 10 wines of the year in Wine Spectator, and Wine Enthusiast’s Best Cabernet of the Year.
