IWC Names Goedhuis & Co Best Burgundy Specialist 2021

The team of specialist wine merchants also named Best En Primeur Specialist 2021 for Rhône, Burgundy and Bordeaux

July 19th – London – Goedhuis & Co, specialist fine wine merchants founded in 1981 by chairman Johnny Goedhuis, received two of the most prestigious prizes in the wine trade at the recent IWC (International Wine Challenge) Awards: Best Burgundy Specialist 2021 and Best En Primeur Specialist 2021 for Rhône, Burgundy and Bordeaux. Goedhuis & Co was also shortlisted for Best Bordeaux Specialist category. A testament to the iconic range of Burgundy producers included in their portfolio, the IWC has named Goedhuis & Co Burgundy Specialist of the Year for three consecutive years. 

Based in Central London. Goedhuis & Co opened its first international office in Hong Kong in 2008, to service the growing interest in fine wine from the Asian market. In Burgundy, the team works with over 50 different producers, from small, upcoming estates under the helm of the new generation such as Vincent Charton in Mercurey, Justin Girardin in Santenay and Cyril Audoin in Marsannay through to the great established names such as Domaines Ponsot, Comte Armand, Sylvain Cathiard and Jean-Philippe Fichet, from whom they purchase directly as a selected distributor in the UK. In Bordeaux Goedhuis & Co has close relationships with many major chateaux and negociants to ensure everything from Bordeaux AC to First Growths are well-represented.
