OAKLAND, CA (September 3, 2013) Lindsay Boudreaux has been promoted to Market Manager for all wine sales at Saxco International, LLC West Coast operations, it was announced today by David Schwandt, Vice President of the wine category for the company. She moves up from her position as Sales Account Manager for the state of Oregon.
She will design, implement and facilitate annual marketing plans for the company and its wine category. She also will support sales and facilitate development and implementation of the wine category business marketing plans. Boudreaux will continue in her roles as Sales Manager for the Northwest Wine Territory.
Saxco International is a major distributor of glass bottles, containers and packaging components principally to the wine and beer industries in the Western United States. The company is the largest distributor of wine bottles on the West Coast and its major supplier, Owens-Illinois, Inc. is the largest producer of glass containers in North America. The company additionally offers bottles, containers and components from Owens-Illinois Canada and Verallia, as well as numerous international manufacturers.
Prior to being appointed at Saxco Pacific Coast, she was employed as a harvest enologist for Domain Serene Winery in Dayton, Oregon. Before that, she served in numerous capacities including red winemaker, assistant winemaker and enologist for King Estate Winery in Eugene, Oregon. During her tenure there her wines were singled out for recognition by Wine Spectator, Wine & Spirits and Wine Enthusiast magazines. She additionally was involved in packaging, sales and marketing support for the winery.
She also previously worked as a lab technician for J Vineyards & Winery in Healdsburg, California, vintage laboratory assistant for Houghton Nannup Winery in Nannup, Western Australia and lab technician for Jordan Vineyards & Winery, also in Healdsburg, California.
She additionally served as chairperson of the Salud! Procurement Committee. Salud! is a non-profit organization that works to provide access to healthcare services for Oregon’s seasonal vineyard workers and their families. The organization has raised some $6-million toward that endeavor.
Boudreaux has a bachelor’s of arts degree in chemistry from the University of California in Santa Barbara, California and a certificate in winemaking from the University of California in Davis, California.
