Maryland Grape & Wine Industry Virtual Conference

The two-day Maryland conference is one of those that will continue to be virtual. Sessions will feature speakers from the University of Maryland Extension, Virginia Tech, Penn State University, and Cornell Lake Erie R&E Laboratory (CLEREL) as well as winemakers, vineyard managers and others in the wine industry. The first morning will feature the New Growers Workshop, which will include presentations on sight selection, establishment, economics and cultivar selection. Other sessions will include topics such as new vineyard technology and mechanization; soil sampling and management; an update on spotted lanternfly; and other vineyard challenges and practices. Pesticide and nutrient management recertification credits will be available.
