A variety of government policies and regulations – and some wine industry practices – are keeping the wines from our four wine-producing provinces (and even from import brands) from growing in key markets across the country. It seemed to take a pandemic to loosen some of the more constrictive policies that have disadvantaged much of the hospitality industry. We’ll look into the impediments and the policy changes needed to underpin the future of a thriving Canadian wine industry and culture.
