Bridging the Gap: Wine Marketing for a New Generation

Do younger consumers care about wine? No matter your role in the wine industry, you’ve certainly asked (or been asked) this question many times, and in recent years the topic has made its way into mainstream and wine press alike. It seems every week there’s a new resurgence of this discussion, often surrounded by doom and gloom, but rarely does the conversation result in tangible ways to take action and reach this growing audience.
On Thursday, October 1st from 2:00pm – 3:30pm PST / 5:00 – 6:30pm EST, we invite you to join us for the first in a series of conversations that will seek to do just that. Sonoma-Valley based winery Hamel Family Wines is bringing together a panel of thought leaders from various professional backgrounds inside and outside of the wine industry to discuss better ways to reach younger wine consumers through marketing, hospitality and more. During each discussion we will dig into what’s worked, what hasn’t, and actionable steps our industry can take to reach the next generation of wine consumers.
Presented by Hamel Family Wines and moderated by sommelier and digital wine luminary Amanda McCrossin, this first event will focus on reaching a younger demographic through marketing – what younger audiences find most valuable in the brands they are willing to support, marketing tactics to keep – as well as those to reconsider – when targeting younger consumers, most impactful platforms for communicating with this audience, and more. Accompanying Amanda will be the following five panelists, who all bring a wealth of marketing experience to this discussion:
