On March 4, Star Wine List and The Buyer celebrated the great wine lists of the UK for the fourth time. The Grand Prix and two other Gold stars were won by the newly opened Mountain in London.
March 5th – “There is definitely no shortage of places to go to for wine lovers when visiting the UK! The competition standards were very high in all categories and it was really exciting to see the variety of lists available as well as the quality of their content. A massive congratulations to all participants and all UK Sommeliers who have entered this year’s challenge, thanks to your passion and hard work, you have made our job very enjoyable,” said Jury member Julie Dupouy-Young.
Star Wine List of the Year is the celebration of the great wine lists in the world and the teams behind them. In the UK, the prize was awarded in eleven categories, and the winners in each category got a Gold Star and several also qualified for the international final in June.
