Smiles from ear-to-ear! Gift cards are used for books at Copperfield’s in Napa.
Napa, CA (January 23, 2023) – The Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation (FWF) participated in its 2nd annual end of year giving program in December with the Wells Fargo Foundation, a long-time supporter of the FWF. Throughout the month, FWF distributed Copperfield’s Books gift cards to more than 500 children of farmworkers. The holiday program was made possible by Wells Fargo’s $20,000 donation.
“The Wells Fargo Foundation is pleased to team up with the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation and to show our appreciation for the important contributions vineyard team members and their families make to the wine industry,” said Erica Trejo, senior vice president of the Wells Fargo Foundation, “This annual program is also an opportunity to make the holidays a bit brighter for everyone and support valued businesses within our local community, like Copperfield’s Books.”
The success of the program exceeded expectations, and beyond the gifts, families created positive memories together. “Watching my daughter light up when she received her gifts was such a joyful moment this holiday season,” said Ana, vineyard team member for Renteria Vineyard Management, “She had a fun time choosing among the books, toys, and stuffed animals. Her final selection was Harry Potter.” Copperfield’s Books prepared for the program with festive holiday decorations and a wide selection of books in English and Spanish.
