Lompoc, CA (July 6, 2022) – All are invited to an artist reception and exhibit honoring Deborah Breedon, on Friday, July 15, from 4-6pm at the Flying Goat Cellars Tasting Salon. Meet the artist and enjoy her colorful paintings of succulents over wine and cheese. The Tasting Salon is located at 1520 East Chestnut Court in Lompoc. Deborah’s paintings will be featured throughout July.
“Growing up in Santa Barbara with the mountains and the ocean so close together has been an opportunity to see the brilliance of color under many kinds of light,” said Deborah. “Blessed with such a background of natural artwork, I have looked at other places, some tropical, and some just in my mind, where the colors are real or imagined. I love the process of how a color is created, how many colors can create the perfect shade or highlight, or an emotion, or a connection to the spirit. I had the good fortune to study with Robert Frame and Ken Nack at Santa Barbara City College, painters/teachers whose grounded originality, enthusiasm, and creative genius knew no bounds.”
Deborah has actively pursued a lifelong interest and dedication to art for 35 years and she is committed to expanding her personal boundaries by teaching and participating in professional studies in Art History and Studio Arts. Her areas of experience primarily in Pastel, also Acrylic, and Oil painting. She is also a member of the Santa Barbara Art Association, SCAPE, Lompoc Valley Art Association, The Pastel Society of America and a Signature artist with the Pastel Society of the West Coast. You are welcome to visit her by appointment at her studio with a call 805-403-8082 or www.deborahbreedon.com.
