Founded in 2021 by wine industry veterans Nat Komes, April Damron and Keynan Burnett, Out Of The Box is a boutique DTC wine fulfillment company based in St. Helena. Over the past five years, the business has shipped hundreds of thousands of packages supporting small to mid-sized wineries. “We saw a niche for a fulfillment company with a hands-on and strategic approach, something very different than the large fulfillment companies servicing most wineries today,” explained Nat Komes, one of the founders.
“Why can’t a fulfillment house function as a true extension of a winery’s direct-to-consumer team,” Komes adds. “Today’s wine industry is dominated by consolidation and automation and we are focused on ‘the touch of the human hand,’” he continues.
