February 12, 2026 (Napa, CA)Darioush, the acclaimed Napa Valley Cabernet estate known for its visionary approach to winegrowing and hospitality, today announced the appointment of Michael Tracy as Vice President of Winemaking. Tracy will oversee all winemaking operations, guiding the evolution of Darioush’s estate-driven portfolio while honoring the style and precision that have defined the winery for more than two decades.

Tracy brings nearly twenty years of winemaking experience in California and internationally, including his most recent leadership role at Trois Noix. He earned a degree in Viticulture and Enology from Cornell University and an MBA in Wine Business from Sonoma State University, pairing technical expertise with strategic insight.

Tracy applies a thoughtful, disciplined approach to crafting expressive Napa Valley wines, emphasizing balance, longevity, and site transparency. In his new role, he will collaborate closely with Darioush’s vineyard and cellar teams to further elevate quality. In conjunction with Tracy’s appointment, Itzel De Santiago has been promoted to Winemaker, recognizing her integral role in the winemaking team for the past five years and Darioush’s commitment to cultivating leadership from within.

“Michael represents the future of winemaking at Darioush — grounded in precision, guided by intuition, and deeply respectful of the vineyards we steward,” said Matthew Sharp, President of Darioush. “With his leadership, Itzel’s promotion, and the continued involvement of our expert consultants, Michel Rolland and Founding Winemaker Steve Devitt, we are poised for a very bright future.”

Tracy reflected, “Joining Darioush is an honor. To work with Itzel, the broader team, and the Khaledi family in crafting wines that reflect the estate’s character is a dream come true. I’m excited to help shape wines that speak of place, care, and intention for years to come.”

Proprietor Darioush Khaledi said, “From the beginning, our family has believed that great wines are shaped as much by people as by place. Michael brings a quiet confidence, clarity of vision, and deep care for our estate that reflects our values.”

Sally Khaledi added, “His leadership, alongside our talented winemaking team, represents an exciting step forward for Darioush as we continue to evolve with intention and shape the estate’s future.”

With this appointment, Darioush reinforces its long-term commitment to excellence, continuity, and thoughtful progression, ensuring each vintage reflects both the estate’s character and its forward-looking vision.
