January 22, 2026 (San Jose, CA) — Alamitos Vineyards, San Jose’s only vineyard winery proudly announces that two of its wines have been awarded Gold Medals and one a Silver at the 2026 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest competition of American wines in the world.


The acclaimed 2024 “Mourning Dove” Alvarinho (Albariño) with grapes sourced from the Santa Ynez Valley, and the 2024 “White Egret” Estate Sauvignon Blanc both received Gold medal recognition from a panel of over 60 esteemed judges representing media, trade, and hospitality. Alamitos also won Silver for its 2024 Rose wine. These awards highlight the winery’s commitment to crafting small-batch, hand-crafted wines of outstanding quality and character.
Since opening its tasting room in 2021, Alamitos Vineyards has received over 30 awards for its wines, including two Double Golds, seven Golds, nine Silvers, and one Best in Class medal across various prestigious competitions. This latest achievement further solidifies the winery’s rising reputation for excellence.
