October 14, 2025 (San Floriano del Collio, Italy) — The 2025 grape harvest at Gradis’ciutta, Robert Princic’s renowned winery in San Floriano del Collio, has come to a very satisfying conclusion.

The vintage is characterised by well-balanced climatic conditions during the initial part of the season, early ripening of the grapes and a consistently high level of quality for both white and red wines. Following regular budding and ideal spring conditions, marked by a perfect alternation of sunshine, rain and wind, the vineyards benefited from excellent vegetative development. The July rains made managing the vineyard more challenging, but the return of good weather and the temperature variations at the end of summer enhanced the ripening of the grapes and the aromatic intensity of the bunches.
The harvest began about a week earlier than average, between 20 and 25 August, and had finished by the end of September, confirming a smooth and harmonious vintage.
“For our part, we can describe the 2025 harvest as a vintage of great quality,” comments Robert Princic. “In spite of some difficulties in July, we found the overall conditions to be excellent: The grapes were rich, aromatic, and healthy, with an appealing balance of sugar and acidity. We are very happy with the harvest and expect wines that perfectly reflect our sustainable approach and the typical characteristics of Collio.“
With careful agricultural management and a constant commitment to organic and sustainable winegrowing, Gradis’ciutta again this year reaffirms its goal: to produce wines that authentically express the identity of the territory and its natural sophistication.
About Gradis’ciutta
Established in 1997 by Robert Princic, Gradis’ciutta is one of the most renowned wineries in Collio, in the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. With approximately 50 hectares of hillside vineyards in the communities of San Floriano del Collio, Gorizia, Capriva del Friuli, and Dolegna del Collio, the winery represents a perfect blend of family tradition, winemaking innovation, and deep respect for the land.
Guided by a sustainable philosophy and a winemaking vision focused on biodiversity and quality, Gradis’ciutta was awarded organic certification in 2018, crowning a long journey of conversion to responsible viticulture. Its wines, produced mainly from native grape varieties such as Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, and Malvasia, but also from international varieties that are well integrated into the territory, best express the richness and complexity of Ponca, the characteristic soil of Collio. Besides winemaking, in 2022 the company opened Borgo Gradis’ciutta, a place where one can spend time and enjoy immersive experiences in nature, art, wine culture, and local identity. This accommodation facility was created by restoring an old 16th-century building.
Gradis’ciutta is a family-based, cultural, and regional project that takes a forward-looking approach while maintaining deep roots in the land and history of Collio.
