Gambero Rosso Announces 2024 Tre Bicchieri U.S. Tour Dates

Trade Tasting Featuring Italy’s Top Wineries Will Commence February 21, 2024 in Chicago; Additional Cities Include New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco

ROME, Italy (December 11, 2023) – Italian media group Gambero Rosso has announced the 2024 dates for its annual U.S. Tre Bicchieri tasting tour to take place in February. Beginning in Chicago on Wednesday, February 21, the tour will continue through Thursday, February 29 with stops in New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, respectively. It will be followed by the group’s signature pop-up Top Italian Wines Roadshow in Dallas and Miami this year.

2024 Tre Bicchieri Tour Schedule

Gambero Rosso’s Tre Bicchieri tour is exclusively open to qualified, current members of the wine trade and media. In addition to the grand tasting, Gambero Rosso’s Tre Bicchieri tour will feature a masterclass in New York City – open on an application-only basis.

Wineries showcased in the Tre Bicchieri tour are those awarded the highly coveted tre bicchieri (three glass) designation in the newly-released 2024 Vini D’Italia. Considered to be the ultimate authority of the best Italian wines, the 2024 Vini D’Italia guide features a curated list of thousands of producers selected by more than 60 tasters who traveled throughout the country tasting some 25,000 wines collectively. Wines are evaluated using Gambero Rosso’s bicchieri rating–or glass ranking–with the tre bicchieri rating reserved for only the top wines from that vintage. Of the 25,231 wines reviewed in the latest Vini d’Italia Guide, just 498 wines were awarded the coveted tre bicchieri designation.
