2023, April 19 — Crimson Wine Group, the guardians of 1,000 acres of pristine vineyards, iconic estates, forests, and wildlife habitats along the West Coast, is bringing back their corporate volunteer day where employees nationwide have the chance to participate in a community clean-up project for Earth Day. The brand’s seven wineries, in partnership with distributor RNDC, have arranged local clean up events around the country and extended sales team will be joining in on local clean ups in their respective home markets.

This year’s Volunteer Day comes as a part of Crimson Wine Group’s sustainability efforts, led by CEO Jennifer Locke, which focuses on six main concepts: becoming carbon neutral by 2050, achieving zero waste status, lowering the environmental impact of packaging material, preserving ecosystems and nurturing biodiversity, producing wholesome wines, and treating employees and communities fairly. The program kicks off Crimson Wine Group and RNDC’s larger partnership centered on goal-oriented sustainability initiatives as the two come together to tackle significant contributors to Crimson Wine Group’s carbon footprint, including shipping, business practice and energy use. The company is also a signatory of the Porto Protocol, Silver Status for the International Wineries for Climate Action, and each individual estate winery participates in local sustainability programs including California Sustainable Winegrowing Program, Fish Friendly Program, USDA Organic and Sustainability in Practice, among many others. Pine Ridge Vineyards in Napa, Seghesio Family Vineyards in Healdsburg and Chamisal Vineyards in San Luis Obispo are among Crimson Wine Group’s prestigious brands that are setting benchmarks in the industry for sustainability.

For example, Pine Ridge Vineyards is partnering with the National Park Conservation Association (NPCA) to offer a variety of sustainable activities, experiences and tastings this Earth Day, Saturday, April 22:
