Glen Rock, NJ, 3.14.23: Opici Wines & Spirits is excited to announce its newest venture as the exclusive partner for Weekday Wines, a low alcohol and low calorie brand sourced from California.
Weekday Wines was built by Ryan and Justine Whalen, two self-proclaimed “exhausted parents” with busy careers who love exploring the world and indulging in a glass of wine. Their active lifestyle created a desire for a guilt-free product that wouldn’t disrupt their schedules the next day.
At only 80 calories a serving and 9% alcohol by volume (ABV), the wines contain 30% less alcohol than average wines on the market. They also contain zero added sugar or flavor enhancers. Each Weekday label clearly states the calories, macronutrient breakdowns, and ABV per serving size so consumers have complete transparency when choosing their wine.
“Like a lot of people, we’re always looking to make healthful improvements to our daily lifestyle,” said the Whalens. “As two working adults with young kids, we didn’t want to give up the relaxation a glass of wine provides after a long day, but feeling sluggish in the morning is not an option. So we made Weekday!”
The brand meticulously sources its grapes from Monterey and Sonoma County, California from leading wineries that are certified by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. They then utilize a proprietary ‘dealcoholization’ technology that reduces alcohol levels from the wine while preserving the distinct flavors and aromas.

The current line includes Pinot Noir and Rosé ($16.99 SRP). The wines are already in distribution in NH, CT, MA, NJ, NY, MD, and DE with a national launch planned for this Spring.
