New Weekly Podcast Highlights Values on Great Wines at Auction

January 31st – (Napa, CALIF)—A new weekly podcast examining the search for great wine at great prices, the state of the wine market and what’s happening at auction has dropped from WineBid. “Finally Hammered”, hosted by WineBid’s Paul Walker and Jeff MacGurn, is aimed at satisfying the deep dive into the wine market that wine geeks, collectors, and enthusiasts love.

Founded in 1996, WineBid is the largest and oldest exclusively online wine auction house. Specializing in offering a broad selection of wine ranging from mid-1970s Napa Cabernet and top Oregon Pinot Noirs to collectible Cult wines, ancient bottlings, and the most sought-after Burgundy and Bordeaux in the world, WineBid’s weekly auction features between 8,000 and 15,000 lots.

“Finally Hammered” can be accessed at YouTube and Spotify with more channels being added.

“It’s a lot of fun – we take the wines seriously, but not the pronunciations!” says Walker, WineBid General Manager. “I hope fans of the site will enjoy our selections – we try to keep it fresh every week.”

FOCUSED ON VALUE, TRENDS AND DIVERSITY OF SELECTION

Broadcasting now on YouTube and Spotify, “Finally Hammered” is the first of its kind podcast. While other great wine podcasts from around the world focus on winemakers, wine regions, and personalities, there was no opportunity for buyers, collectors, and wine geeks to listen to experts dissect the availability, pricing, and value of the greatest, most interesting, and exciting wines in the world. “Finally Hammered” fills that niche.

“Paul and I are serious about wine and finding great values among great wines, but no one who listens to the podcast would confuse us with pretentious or snobby,” says MacGurn, WineBid marketing guru. “Paul brings a lifetime of knowledge of wines, vintages, and regions and I bring the perspective of the excited kid in a candy store just trying not to knock things over as the pod moves from evaluating wines to identifying trends and values.”
